Plan around the water. Akosombo and Atimpoku are neighbours, so you can base yourself in either and still reach the dam, the Adomi Bridge and the riverside. Roads here are the Tema–Akosombo Road and the Apaaso Akosombo Road, and several places sit near the Atimpoku roundabout, which makes them easy to find. Ask each property directly about room types, meals and whether breakfast is included, and confirm pool and conference availability if you need them. Self-catering guests at Santa Monica Home Lodge should check what the kitchen includes. If you are arriving late, arrange your check-in in advance.
