BridgeView Resort

BridgeView Resort is a nature resort in the Akosombo mountains of Ghana's Eastern Region, in the Asuogyaman District. The operator describes it as a mountain property hemmed in by the Akosombo mountains and set against Lake Volta, with views of the Adomi Bridge. A second property, BridgeView LakeSide, is described as about five minutes away, or a three-minute drive across the Adomi Bridge, and is built with natural wood, stone and large windows overlooking the lake and forested hills. The resort's address is given as the Atimpoku Roundabout, Akosombo.

The two properties offer different settings. The mountain resort sits at the peak of the site, where the Luxury Chalet rooms are reached by a few minutes' walk on a gradual incline from reception. LakeSide is the waterfront property, with a spa, infinity pool, water sports, beach and bar. Room types across the two include the Premium Suite, with a separate living area and views of the Adomi Bridge, Lake Volta and the mountains; a two-bedroom Family Room with a grand balcony; and, at LakeSide, the Luxury Premium Suite, Luxury Chalet, Panoramic Room and Signature Room. Breakfast is included in the LakeSide rooms.

Activities listed by the operator include kayaking, paddleboarding, canoeing, swimming in an infinity pool overlooking Lake Volta, and hiking trails through the surrounding forests. LakeSide adds boat cruises, jet skis, a speedboat cruise, tubing, and soccer, volleyball, table tennis and board games. The LakeSide spa offers massages and facials using natural, locally sourced products.

Day visits are possible but must be arranged in advance: the operator states that day packages require a reservation and that entry at LakeSide carries a minimum spend of 500 GHS, applicable to dining, activities or spa treatment. Published package examples range from 1,000 GHS for a 60-minute massage with a cocktail or mocktail, a meal, LakeSide access and a 10-minute jet ski ride, to 1,350 GHS covering jet ski, speedboat and boat cruise time with refreshments, a meal and LakeSide access. Group rates apply beyond two guests.

Reception is open 24 hours, with check-in at 3:00 PM and check-out at 12:00 PM. The operator markets the resort for weddings, family getaways and birthday celebrations, and states it is 90 minutes from Accra. A third property, BridgeView Accra, offers two-bedroom luxury townhomes in Cantonments, Accra, with a swimming pool, gym, housekeeping and 24-hour security.
