About Busua Beach Resort
Busua Beach Resort is a beachfront hotel on Busua Beach in the Ahanta West Municipal District of Ghana's Western Region, roughly 30 km west of Sekondi-Takoradi on the Gulf of Guinea. The resort sits on a curved bay of golden sand that runs for nearly 2.4 km, and it is described as a three-star, international-standard property occupying several acres of beachfront.
The resort has 62 chalet-style rooms and suites, including suites with private kitchenettes and living rooms and standard rooms with shared kitchenettes. Two restaurants operate on site — the Ghanaian Village Restaurant and the Hogbetsotso Restaurant — alongside a lobby bar. Other listed facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, a beachfront spa and wellness centre, a fitness centre, a tennis court, a gift shop, a kids' playground, free Wi-Fi and 24-hour room service. Water sports listed by the resort include kayaking, windsurfing, volleyball, beach soccer and boat trips to a private island. A night club operates on request.
Busua Beach is also known as a surf destination, with a consistent left-hand break, and Busua Surf School is nearby. Fort Metal Cross at Dixcove and Fort Batenstein are historic sites in the surrounding area.
Published facility hours are limited: the gift shop is listed as open 7:30am–8:00pm daily, the beach spa 10:00am–6:00pm daily by appointment only, and the pool 10:00am–5:30pm. Reception hours are not published.
Access is by road: Busua is about 30 km west of Sekondi-Takoradi on a paved road from Sekondi, and the resort is roughly a 30-minute drive from Takoradi, though one beach guide gives about 45 minutes by car. The resort lists free transfers to and from Takoradi Airport for parties of 10 or fewer guests, more than 100 self-parking spaces, and taxis or private transfers by arrangement. No step-free or wheelchair accessibility information is published, and phone numbers differ between official-looking sites, so contact details should be confirmed directly.
