About Waterfall Lodge

It sits on an 8,000 sq m garden directly on the trail to the Wli (Agumatsa) Waterfalls, which places the falls within easy walking distance of the rooms. Wli-Afegame is one of the twin villages of Wli-Agerviefe and Wli-Afegame, an Ewe community that is mainly farming. The village has seven churches of different denominations, typical local restaurants and many bars, and holds its market on Wednesdays; Hohoe, the district centre, holds its market on Mondays and Fridays. Drumming and dancing courses are available in the vicinity. The lodge describes a guided walk that introduces local wild flora and fauna, bamboo benches in the forest, and the chance to dip in the pool or shower at the foot of the waterfall. The upper cascades hike is described as taking about four hours and requiring appropriate shoes and stamina; early-afternoon light is noted as best for photography.
