About Aborigines Beach

Aborigines Beach is a golden-sand stretch of the Atlantic shoreline at Keta, in Ghana's Volta Region. It is defined less by a formal public beach facility than by the long-running Aborigines Beach Resort that fronts it, and the resort's own site describes the setting as a coastal strip nestled among towering palms and lush gardens.

The resort states it has operated since 2013 and lists a pool, an open-air bar and restaurant, outdoor summer huts facing the sea, gardens, a kids playground, a petting zoo and reflection spaces among its facilities. It also advertises a water sports centre offering jet skiing, boat riding and beach quad biking, and notes surfable waves. Rooms and suites are described as having DSTV, air conditioning and private patios, and the property lists conference and meeting facilities alongside weddings and events.

A third-party travel guide describes the beach itself as a wide expanse of golden sand with road access and resort parking, popular for sunbathing, swimming, beach volleyball and family visits, with resort dining and drinks close at hand. The same guide places it at approximately 5.9202, 1.0030 and estimates it at roughly 160–180 km east of Accra by road, about three to four hours, reachable by tro-tro to Keta town followed by a short taxi ride. The resort's contact page gives the address as Keta Beach Link, VK-0034-2583, Keta, Volta Region, and lists [email protected] and 054 027 2600.

Practical planning is best done through the resort, since the beach is presented as part of its grounds and no independent public access arrangements, opening hours or fees are published in the available sources. Visitors should treat the coordinates and travel times as guide estimates rather than confirmed figures, and confirm current facilities, availability and access directly before travelling.
