About Keta Heritage Wall

The Keta Heritage Wall is a community public-art project that turns the perimeter wall of Keta Senior High Technical School (KETASCO) at Dzelukope, in the Keta Municipal District of the Volta Region, into what its organisers describe as an open-air "museum without doors". The wall runs for roughly 300 metres, and the murals are intended to depict the history and heritage of Keta and Anlo, including the Anglo Migration.

The project is led by the Xetoto Arts Foundation in collaboration with KETASCO and its Visual Arts Department. It is a school-perimeter wall rather than a purpose-built gallery, so the artwork is encountered outdoors, along the boundary of a working second-cycle institution.

The Ghana Tourism Authority was reported to have endorsed the project, describing it as an iconic landmark in the Volta Region with the potential to become a vibrant tourism destination, to boost the local economy and to preserve heritage. A related arts festival or arrangement was announced for 23–27 September.

For a visitor, the wall is best understood as a heritage-focused mural site tied to a specific community initiative. Because the murals are painted on a school boundary, any visit should be planned around the school's own grounds and routines rather than treated as a conventional ticketed attraction.

Practical details are limited. No verified coordinates are available for the site, and no opening hours, entry fees, guided-tour arrangements or visitor facilities have been confirmed. As of discovery, the Keta Heritage Wall was recorded as a project or landmark that may not yet be fully open to visitors, so anyone planning a trip should confirm current access and the state of the murals before travelling.
