Things to do in Ho

Ho is the capital of Ghana's Volta Region, and the places listed here show three very different sides of the town. Ho Airport, a GACL-operated regional airport with the code DGAH, opened to commercial traffic in December 2021, so arriving by air is now part of the Ho story. Ho Central Market, known locally as Ho Asigame, is one of the Volta Region's biggest trading centres, drawing traders and buyers from across Ho, the wider region and neighbouring Togo. The Volta Regional Museum, run by the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board, opened in 1973 in the former Office of the Regional House of Chiefs and holds ethnographic collections.

What they share is Ho itself: all three sit in the same town, and each one gives you a different way in. The airport is about movement and arrival, the market is about everyday trade and noise and colour, and the museum is about history and culture, quietly housed in an old civic building. Together they make an easy, varied day out, whether you have just landed or have lived here for years.
