About A&Y Wild Camp Ghana
A&Y Wild Camp Ghana is a small lodge and wild camp in the fishing village of Aflasco, on the outskirts of Keta in the Volta Region. It sits on a compound between the Keta lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean, along Emancipation Road on the main route toward Aflao and the Togo border. The site describes itself as run by a Ghanaian and Italian couple, and its own material places it roughly 139 km from Accra and 36 km from Lomé.
The setting is the camp's defining feature. It is a beachfront property with a private beach area, plus a terrace and garden with sea views. Rooms are described as family rooms with private entrances, balconies and sea views, each with a private bathroom, wardrobe and sofa; some units have a shared toilet instead of a private one, so it is worth confirming which category you are booking.
On site there are two restaurants serving Italian and local cuisine, with vegetarian options, and a bar. Breakfast is offered in continental and à la carte form, including fresh fruit. Listed leisure facilities include cycling, outdoor play areas, a games room and a tour desk. Other commonly cited amenities include an airport shuttle, room service, non-smoking rooms and free private parking on site.
The camp also has a community dimension: it supports children in Aflasco and nearby villages with drawing, reading and English classes for ages 7 to 11, and supports children from the Agbogbloshie area of Accra.
Practical points matter here. Booking listings state check-in from 13:00 to 19:00 and check-out from 07:00 to 11:00, cash only payment, no children and no pets, and a closed entrance between 23:00 and 06:00. Contact details appear on the official site and Facebook page but have not been independently verified by phone.
