Kute Lower Falls

Kute Lower Falls is a waterfall at Kute village in the Jasikan Municipal District of the Oti Region, Ghana. It is the lower of two tiers in a waterfall system at the same site, in the Buem area close to Ghana's border with Togo. Institutional sources list it simply as a waterfall in the district, while social posts describe it as a hidden or newly discovered attraction in the Jasikan area.

Jasikan Municipal lies between roughly 7°24'N and 0°28'E and is bounded to the east by Togo. The village is the confirmed reference point for the falls; exact coordinates for the falls themselves are not known. Access is described as a walk or hike from Kute through forest, rather than a developed, signposted trail.

Community and creator accounts are the main published description of the site. They describe upper and lower falls reached along a stream, with tall trees, tropical butterflies and shallow rock overhangs on the approach. The falls are promoted as a recently publicised and largely undeveloped visitor attraction.

One widely circulated social caption gives a height of about 30 metres and a peak flow from June to August, but the same caption also states an implausible flow speed, so the height figure should be treated as unverified.
